Player Eligibility and Birth-Year Windows at the Midwest Youth Cup
Who is eligible to play each Midwest Youth Cup age group in 2027, the exact birth-date windows from U8 to U15, guest player limits, and roster rules.
Player Eligibility and Birth-Year Windows at the Midwest Youth Cup
Eligibility at the Midwest Youth Cup is set by birth date using August 1 to July 31 windows. A player born between August 1, 2013 and July 31, 2014 plays U13 in 2027. Every player needs a valid player pass, and rosters are final after check-in.
Key facts
- Age groups run from U8 to U15, each defined by a one-year birth-date window.
- Maximum of four guest players per team.
- No roster changes after check-in.
- A player may not play on multiple teams unless the Tournament Director approves it.

| Age group | Birth-date window | |---|---| | U8 | August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2019 | | U9 | August 1, 2017 to July 31, 2018 | | U10 | August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017 | | U11 | August 1, 2015 to July 31, 2016 | | U12 | August 1, 2014 to July 31, 2015 | | U13 | August 1, 2013 to July 31, 2014 | | U14 | August 1, 2012 to July 31, 2013 | | U15 | August 1, 2011 to July 31, 2012 |
A player may always play up in an older age group, but never down. Confirm each player's birth date against the window above before submitting your roster.
Player passes and guest players
Every player must hold a valid player pass, and passes should be available at every match. Teams may add a maximum of four guest players. Guest players must be properly rostered and carry a valid pass just like rostered players.
Rosters are final at check-in
Rosters lock at check-in. There are no roster changes after that point, so add every player and guest player, and complete all document uploads, before the March 12, 2027 deadline. Players may not appear on more than one team unless the Tournament Director grants approval.
Where eligibility is decided
The Tournament Director has final authority on all eligibility questions. If you are unsure whether a player qualifies for an age group or needs guest-player approval, confirm it before check-in rather than at the field.
