First-Time Coach Orientation for the Midwest Youth Cup
If this is your first Midwest Youth Cup, the path is short: register your team on GotSport before March 1, 2027, upload every document by March 12, 2027, and show up March 19 to 21 ready to play. There is no on-site check-in, so your GotSport account carries the whole administrative side of the event.
Key facts
- Register on GotSport; registration closes March 1, 2027.
- Upload all documents by March 12, 2027; schedules post the same day.
- Entry fees run $600 to $900 depending on format.
- Minimum 3-game guarantee across the weekend; max 3 games per day.
- All check-in is online; no on-site check-in.
Step 1: register on GotSport
Enter your team through the GotSport event page at https://system.gotsport.com/event_regs/1ec12d263a. Registration closes March 1, 2027, and the field caps at 250 teams, so submit early. Clubs entering 10 or more teams can ask the director about a multi-team rate.
Step 2: know your fees and how to pay
Your fee depends on format, which is set by age group. Pay by credit card through GotSport at registration, or mail a check payable to Midwest Youth Cup with your team name and age group on the memo line.
| Format | Age group | Entry fee | |--------|-----------|-----------| | 5v5 | U8 (introductory) | $600 | | 7v7 | U9 to U10 | $750 | | 9v9 | U11 to U12 | $800 | | 11v11 | U13 to U15 | $900 |
Step 3: complete online check-in by March 12
All documents, including rosters and medical releases, upload to GotSport by March 12, 2027. That same day, schedules post on GotSport. There is no on-site check-in, so confirm your roster and player passes are in before the deadline. There are no roster changes after check-in.
Step 4: build an eligible roster
Every player needs a valid player pass, and eligibility is set by birth-date windows running August 1 to July 31. You may carry up to 4 guest players. Roster maximums are 14 for U8 through U10, 16 for U11 and U12, and 22 for U13 through U15. A player may not play on multiple teams unless the Tournament Director approves it.
Step 5: know your format
Match format and ball size follow the age group. Build-Out Line rules apply for U8 through U10.
| Age group | Format | Match length | Ball size | |-----------|--------|--------------|-----------| | U8 | 5v5 or 7v7 | 2 x 20 or 2 x 25 min | Size 4 | | U9 to U10 | 7v7 | 2 x 25 min | Size 4 | | U11 to U12 | 9v9 | 2 x 30 min | Size 4 | | U13 to U15 | 11v11 | 2 x 30 min | Size 5 |
