Why U11-U12 is one of the deepest brackets
By U11 and U12, most travel programs have stable rosters and competitive cycles. The Midwest Youth Cup typically runs the deepest U11-U12 brackets of any age group, with full Premier-through-Bronze depth in both genders. That depth means even teams new to competitive travel soccer find a level-appropriate bracket.
What U11-U12 coaches plan around
- Travel: Stay-to-play is required for teams outside 90 miles. Hotel block details ship with the final schedule on March 12.
- Scouting: One-complex format means a U11 head coach can watch the U12 game two fields over during their team's downtime, useful for scouting next-year opponents.
- Roster management: U11-U12 rosters are deeper than smaller-sided formats. Bring the bench you'd bring to a state-cup weekend.
